Juicy Beef & Farmer Cheese Burger

For the patties:
1 pound ground beef, with at least 20% fat content
3⁄4 tsp salt
1⁄2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp butter, melted
6 oz Scandic® Farmer Cheese, thinly sliced

To assemble:
4 sesame seed rolls, split
4 crisply-cooked bacon slices
4 curly lettuce leaves
1 large tomato, sliced
2 dill pickles, drained and sliced
4 thin slices red onion


  1. For the patties: Preheat grill to a moderately hot temperature.
  2. Place ground beef in a large mixing bowl and add 2 tsp salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Incorporate salt and pepper into the ground beef with your hands. Divide the mixture into four and shape into patties. Brush both sides of the patties with melted butter.
  4. Carefully lay burger patties onto the grill and cook for 4-6 minutes, turning once, until the patties are lightly charred and cooked to desired doneness; divide the Farmer Cheese slices on top of each patty about a minute before removing from the grill.
  5. To assemble: Briefly toast rolls on grill. Remove from grill and top bottom halves of rolls with bacon, lettuce and tomato.
  6. Top with burger patties, pickles, red onion and the tops of the rolls. Serve immediately.
